Eyes On Diabetes

DESCRIPTION

By 2040, more than 640 million individuals may be living with diabetes. Currently, 1 in 2 adults with diabetes is undiagnosed. Screening for diabetes is very important to ensure early diagnosis and treatment to reduce the risk of serious complications. Alan Parsa, MD, FACE, Medical Director of the Diabetes Management & Education Center of The Queen’s West O‘ahu and the Diabetes Team will discuss: the screening process for diabetes, what it means for pre-diabetes and nutritional therapy for pre-diabetes.
