Colon Health 101

DESCRIPTION

Most colon cancer is preventable through regular screening. Cancer of the colon affects more than 100,000 Americans each year. Many people with colon cancer experience no symptoms in the early stages of the disease. When symptoms appear, they’ll likely vary, depending on the cancer’s size and location in the large intestine. Please join Cheuk Y. Hong MD, surgeon at The Queen’s Medical Center West Oah‘u to discuss: colon anatomy and function, types of disease, risk factors, colon cancer screening and treatment.
